GeRiGel is divided into areas called 'sheets', each of which represents a useful functionality for your business.
Managing Ingredients
The Ingredient Management is the main brain of the program. In this section, you will find over 700 ingredients already included by default. You can at any time add, remove, and modify any that you wish.
Each ingredient is analyzed according to its specifics, based on nutrient content, proteins, fibers, fats, alcohol, cholesterol, lactose, sugars, pod (sweetening power), pac (antifreeze power), other solids, glycemic index, allergen presence, and price.
The ingredient, which can be simple or compound, must be “translatable” in the labeling of the finished product and, therefore, can be read by the software in a classic way, as a set of words, or in detail, by entering the individual sub-ingredients with their respective percentages of presence relative to the total.
Recipes
In this document, you can create and organize your entire collection of recipes, even in subfolders. You can also manage their display across various workstations, whether they be tablets or PCs in the same location or in facilities located on the other side of the globe, thanks to the cloud system in which GeRiGel operates.
By entering the ingredients and their quantities, you can instantly see all the necessary values for proper balancing. For beginners, help is provided through the color coding of the main parameters’ cells.
Some features allow you to obtain corrective data (such as input errors for ingredients or adjusting the brix of mixtures, especially fruit) in just a few seconds.
With the touch screen feature, you can perform these operations directly within the workspace, minimizing time waste.
Pricing and Break Even Point
These are complementary and necessary documents to keep track of product prices and to set and calculate in a straightforward manner what the estimated revenues will be for current or future activities. By entering the main accounting items, it will be possible to determine the quantity of ice cream (or other products) to sell in order to achieve a profit that aligns with expectations throughout the operational year.

In this area, it will be possible to organise which recipes will be destined for the digital sign, allowing the end customer to understand the composition of each product, read informative notes and view the allergens present in it
Recipe management
This sheet allows you to manage the authorisations of each operator or workstation. Recipes will be displayed in a simplified and reduced format (folder, recipe list, recipe consisting of ingredients and quantities).
Customer management and sales analysis
By importing from an invoicing software (with Danea EasyFatt this is already possible), it will be possible to get a detailed picture of sales for each customer, to understand the cost of the products sold to them and, consequently, to obtain important data for correct pricing.
Calculation of finished product mark-up
By entering some balance sheet data and some production costs into the software, it will be possible to calculate the exact resale price of each product, decide how much margin to obtain and what mark-up to apply. The accompanying graphs will help to express the numerical composition of the cost items of each product in a simple way.
Management of the digital over-the-counter menu
In this section it will be possible to upload photos and text of each product to offer the customer an easier shopping experience, directly from a tablet or mobile phone using the dedicated QR CODE.
